Buster Posey the Master of Puppets

May 31, 2010: San Francisco,CA. Giants first baseman Buster Posey , in action during the game between the Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park in San Francisco,California. The Giants lost to the Rockies 4-0 . Jeff Trouette/CSM.

A special treat this morning, we have a musical ode to one Gerald "Buster" Demp Posey III. The kid has done just about everything that you could expect from the top prospect in the system including healing lepers and the blind while devising a plan to plug the oil leak in the gulf. Oh and he has also played a nice first base and hit the ball all around the park.

It was inspired that Murph and Mac songs to our pitchers ala "Lincecum" and "Sanchez" that are often heard in the mornings on KNBR. From FOB (Friend of the Blog) Harry Kalb we give you:

the Master of Puppets:

(To be sung along with the first verse and chorus of Metallica's "Master of Puppets"

As the month of May
Reached its final days
Our poor Giants sure were reeling!

Pitchers labored on
Offense all but gone
That familiar sinking feeling...

Scoring runs a chore!
Such a painful bore!
Finally he came!
Hear 'em chant his naaaaame!!

He passes muster! (Muster!)
Believe in Buster! (Buster!)
He will not fluster! (Fluster!)
Believe in Buster!

Buster!

Watch gettin' it done!
Raking base hits and driving in runs!
Balls leave his bat like shells from a gun!
No need for praise, he's just having fun!

Buster!
Buster!

He's San Francisco's new favorite son...

Buster!
Buster!
