The Giants Brutal Early Schedule

The Giants took two out of three in Arizona and took a lead into the bottom of the eighth before letting the game and the sweep slip through their fingers.

This is the third straight series the Giants have won, but it really doesn't seem like they are playing all that well. They are surviving on guile and savvy, just like the veteran players that Brian Sabean covets.

Well, the road ahead is not friendly for the Giants, so they need to find a way out of this funk. 13 of the next 16 games are one the road and there is a 10 game east coast trip with no off days. Plus, they get two really tough teams before that in the Rockies and Braves.

The schedulers have not done the Giants many favors to start this season. In April and May, the Giants will have to be road warriors. They will play 34 of 55 away from AT&T park. This is a tough feat for any team and I just hope the Giants are hanging around .500 when all is said and done.

The silver lining; the schedule will swing back in their favor over the second half. That will help the team for the stretch run as long as no one has run away with the division and the mountain is too tall to climb.
