Small Sample Size Fun: Closer Edition

It's time once again to play a little game I like to call Small Sample Size Fun. This edition focuses on Giants closers.

Contestant A: 1.1 inning, 5 ER, 1 blown save, 33.75 ERA
Contestant B: 1.1 inning, 0 ER, 1 save, 0.00 ERA

Which would you rather have closing out games?

****

That's a trick question because you should say neither because 1.1 innings is far too few to really tell anything and, thus, the name of the game. To reveal the identity of the contestants:

Contestant A: 2011
Contestant B: 2007 just before being run out of town by the lunatic fringe.

Everybody, settle down, stop sharpening the pitchforks, and put down the phone and don't even think about calling into SportsPhone 680. I don't want to hear it.

Cut out the Mota4Closer campaign. As Buster Posey would say, "Ain't havin' it."

Become a and follow on Twitter. There is lots of good stuff going on there.
